USPA NEWS - Madrid will once again take center stage in international equestrian sport next November as it hosts the FEI World Cup events in Jumping, Dressage, and Driving. On Monday, September 28, the organizers of Mutua Madrid Horse Week 2026 officially unveiled the upcoming edition in Madrid's Plaza de Oriente, announcing an event that will once again bring together many of the world's leading equestrian athletes. The competition will take place at IFEMA Madrid's Halls 12 and 14 from November 26 to 29.
The major sporting highlight of the 2026 edition will be the staging of all three FEI World Cup series at a single venue. Madrid will host classes from the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™, the FEI Dressage World Cup™, and will also welcome back the FEI Driving World Cup™, a discipline that has not been part of the event since 2015. This unique combination further strengthens Madrid's standing on the international equestrian calendar and reinforces its position as one of the few equestrian events worldwide capable of simultaneously hosting top-level competition in multiple disciplines.

The official presentation took place in front of the Prince's Gate of the Royal Palace and was attended by institutional and federation representatives, including Daniel Entrecanales, Chairman of the Organizing Committee; Ignacio Garralda, Chairman of Mutua Madrileña; Javier Revuelta, President of the Royal Spanish Equestrian Federation; as well as representatives from the Madrid City Council and the Regional Government of Madrid.
During the presentation, Daniel Entrecanales emphasized the organizational challenge involved in bringing together all three FEI World Cups within a single edition and credited the achievement to years of collaborative work by the teams involved in the project. He also highlighted the ongoing support of sponsors, exhibitors, and equestrian fans, whose commitment has played a key role in the event's sustained growth.

Beyond its organizational significance, the spotlight will ultimately be on the sport itself. The event is expected to welcome more than 170 riders and drivers from around 20 countries, along with nearly 300 horses competing across the various disciplines. According to Javier Revuelta, the level of competition will allow spectators to see some of the world's leading specialists in action alongside Spain's top athletes, making the event an important benchmark ahead of next season's major international championships.
The President of the Royal Spanish Equestrian Federation described Mutua Madrid Horse Week as the most important equestrian event currently held in Spain, both for the variety of disciplines represented and for the quality of competitors set to compete in the Spanish capital over four days of competition.

The event's sporting significance is also reflected in the strong equestrian tradition of the Madrid region. During the presentation, Deputy Minister for Culture, Tourism and Sport Luis Martín Izquierdo highlighted the importance of equestrian sport in the region, which accounts for a significant share of Spain's federation licenses and is home to an extensive network of specialized equestrian clubs.

Organizers also underscored the remarkable growth of an event that, since its launch in 2012, has steadily increased its international profile and established itself as a benchmark gathering for athletes, teams, and fans alike. The 2026 edition will offer €550,000 in prize money and will once again bring the world's equestrian elite to Madrid for one of the very few European competitions capable of simultaneously hosting the highest levels of jumping, dressage, and driving.
